Principal’s Message
|
As we head into the last week of October, get ready for a fun Spirit Week sponsored by STUCO! Students are encouraged to participate and show their Rebel spirit throughout the week. One winner from each day will get a prize. On Friday, students may wear Halloween costumes as long as their faces remain visible and recognizable. Costumes must be school-appropriate, with no excessive gore or weapons. We are also excited to kick off our first week of the new quarter! This means fresh starts, new goals, and the beginning of some exciting new electives for our students. Let’s make it a great week of learning, school spirit, and connecting to our community!

After-School Study Hall at Weld Central Middle School
We are excited to offer a new After-School Study Hall opportunity for WCMS students.
Study Hall will be held each Wednesday from 3:15–4:30 p.m. and will provide students with additional time and support to complete assignments, get help with schoolwork, and build strong academic habits.
A few important details
Study Hall is limited to 15 students each week.
Students must be referred and signed up by a teacher to attend.
Parents/guardians who are interested in having their student attend should reach out to their student's teacher.
Students may ride the activity bus at 4:45 p.m. to the local elementary school.
If your student is not riding the activity bus, they must be picked up at WCMS at 4:30 p.m.
The referring teacher will let you know that your student has been signed up and will communicate what subject or assignment the student will be working on.
We are excited to provide this additional opportunity to support academic excellence and help our students develop real skills for real life!
Thank you for partnering with us to support student success!

SRO Safety Spotlight
“See Something? Say Something.” As you get older, you may encounter situations involving weapons that you're not sure how to handle. The safest choice is always to stay away and get an adult involved. DON’T TOUCH IT — If you find a firearm, knife, or another weapon, leave it where it is. Don't pick it up or move it. GET SOME DISTANCE — Move away from the situation and put yourself somewhere safe. TELL AN ADULT — Tell a teacher, parent, SRO, administrator, or another trusted adult as soon as possible. DON’T SHARE IT ONLINE — Don't take pictures, post about it, or send it around to friends. Get an adult involved instead. DON’T LET FRIENDS TALK YOU INTO IT — You don't have to touch, carry, hide, or hold something just because someone else asks you to.
KNOW WHAT YOU'RE CARRYING — Never put an unknown item in your backpack or carry something for another person without knowing exactly what it is.
REPORTING CAN PREVENT SOMEONE FROM GETTING HURT — Speaking up when you see something concerning can make a difference. A simple rule to remember: “Don't touch it. Don't share it. Tell someone.”
Make the safe choice—even when nobody else is watching. Have a safe and happy Friday!
