A Message from Principal Schriner
We are excited to share a small change to our game attendance expectations! Middle school students are now welcome to attend our athletic events as spectators. We want to give students an opportunity to have fun, connect with friends, and show their support for our Rebel athletes.

To help make this a positive experience for everyone, please review the following expectations with your student:

 Admission

  • Students: $4

  • Adults: $5

  • Senior Citizens: $4

  • Staff: Free

Student Expectations

  • Students attending as spectators must go directly to the game location before the game begins. Students should not roam the halls or be disruptive.

  • Students must follow all school rules and Rebel expectations while attending games.

  • Students attending as spectators may not ride the activity bus home. Parents/guardians will need to arrange transportation home.

  • If a student is unable to follow expectations, they may be asked to leave the event and/or may lose the opportunity to attend future games.

We want this to be a great opportunity for our students to be part of the Rebel community and cheer on their classmates.

Thank you for talking with your student about these expectations and helping us keep our athletic events safe, positive, and welcoming for everyone!

Go Rebels!

Around The Campus

After-School Study Hall at Weld Central Middle School

We are excited to offer a new After-School Study Hall opportunity for WCMS students beginning Wednesday, October 7!

Study Hall will be held each Wednesday from 3:15–4:30 p.m. and will provide students with additional time and support to complete assignments, get help with schoolwork, and build strong academic habits.

A few important details:

  • Study Hall is limited to 15 students each week.

  • Students must be referred and signed up by a teacher to attend.

  • Parents/guardians who are interested in having their student attend should reach out to their student's teacher.

  • Students may ride the activity bus at 4:45 p.m. to the local elementary school.

  • If your student is not riding the activity bus, they must be picked up at WCMS at 4:30 p.m.

  • The referring teacher will let you know that your student has been signed up and will communicate what subject or assignment the student will be working on.

We are excited to provide this additional opportunity to support academic excellence and help our students develop real skills for real life!

Thank you for partnering with us to support student success!

SRO Safety Spotlight

Middle School | This Week’s Safety Tip

“Your Backpack Is Your Responsibility”

Your backpack goes with you almost everywhere at school. That means what's inside it is your responsibility—even if someone else put it there.

  • KNOW WHAT YOU'RE CARRYING — Don't blindly carry something for someone else.

  •  DON'T ACCEPT ITEMS YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE — If someone asks you to bring something to school, think before you agree.

  •  CHECK YOUR BAG — Make sure you know what's inside before coming to school.

  •  SPEAK UP IF SOMETHING ISN'T YOURS — If you find something in your backpack that you didn't put there, don't ignore it. Tell a trusted adult.

  •  TAKE CARE OF YOUR BELONGINGS — Keep your backpack, school materials, and personal items secure.

Remember: “I didn't know it was in there” doesn't change the importance of knowing what you're carrying.

Own your choices. Know your backpack. Make smart decisions.

Have a safe and happy Friday!
