In 7th grade science, students participate in a Cart Sort activity where they examine and organize images based on their size, ranging from objects that are microscopic to those visible with the naked eye. This hands-on activity helps students develop important scientific skills such as observation, classification, comparison, and critical thinking. By carefully analyzing each image and placing it in the correct size category, students demonstrate curiosity, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn from evidence. These skills are essential to academic excellence because successful students not only memorize information but also apply what they learn, think critically, and make informed decisions.
