Principal’s Message

After our first week of school, we can confidently say we’ve had an incredible start to the 2026 – 2027 school year!

Our staff worked hard throughout the Summer and in the weeks leading up to the launch of the school year to make this year even more incredible than last year.

Our students continue to amaze us every day with their energy, effort, and enthusiasm.

We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with you and work together to bring out the very best in each and every one of our students. Thank you for your continued support. We’re excited for an amazing year ahead!

Free School Meals for All Students

Weld County School District RE-3J is excited to offer  free breakfast and lunch to all students this school year through participation in the  Colorado Healthy School Meals for All program.

To receive a free reimbursable meal, students must select the required meal components that meet  USDA Meal pattern guidelines . This includes choosing a fruit or vegetable  as part of their meal. These standards help ensure students receive balanced, nutritious meals that support their health and learning.

Students must use their school-issued student ID in order to access free meals. In addition to the free meals, students have the option to purchase healthy snacks and beverages during lunch. Our school uses  My School Bucks  as a convenient and secure way to add money to your student's meal account for these optional purchases.

Families may also add funds by sending cash or a check made payable to  Weld Central Middle School. Please include your student's name with any payment to ensure it is credited to the correct account.

Even though meals will be provided for free, we ask that families complete the Family Economic Data Survey in order for our schools to receive full access to federal funding. See our  website for additional information and  apply now to complete the application.
