Dare To Be A Rebel

Re-3J: Welcome to the New Year!

Posted Date: 8/06/25 (12:10 PM)

Weld Re-3J Community,

We are so excited to see your children next week! Staff have been busy learning and planning for the first day of school and beyond. Our priority is to create a sense of belonging for your child so they can grow and thrive academically. We don’t take our responsibility lightly and hope that you partner with us to strengthen our schools and communities through the power of public education.

Feel free to reach out to our faculty and staff with any questions or concerns you may have. We are here to support you and your children.

Please see important information referenced below. Let's make this year an incredible one!

Warmest regards,

Greg A. Rabenhorst, Ed.D.

Superintendent of Schools

School Begins Monday!

School starts for students in grades 1-12 on Monday, August 11. Please see our district calendar for all important dates. You will be receiving additional messages from school principals regarding back to school information. Please remember that Back-to-School Night is tonight, Wednesday, August 6.

New Year, New Vision

During the spring, a group of community stakeholders helped to shape the vision of the district for the next 5 years by developing our strategic plan. Three pillars lay the foundation of the strategic plan:  Relationships, Real Skills for Real Life, and Talented Workforce.  The strategic plan is also grounded in our aspirational vision for students:  The Weld Re-3J Graduate Profile. Each of our schools is working on annual goals aligned to the strategic plan, which will be approved by the Board of Education in October.

Employment Opportunities

The employment market in education has stabilized a bit; however, we continue to see teacher and staffing shortages statewide. The availability of bus drivers is of significant concern, and we have had to temporarily cut routes due to shortages. Please share our openings with friends and neighbors!  See our website for openings, or email us if you are interested in a specific position.

Get & Stay Involved!

The district is actively recruiting members to be a part of our District Accountability Committee. This is an excellent way to learn about district operations and to contribute to district-wide topics of interest or challenge. We encourage parent involvement in both district and school volunteer opportunities. Schools are seeking volunteers to be a part of Parent/Teacher Organizations and/or Booster clubs. Please contact us if you are interested in learning more.
