We are excited to invite you to the 2nd Annual WCMS Spelling Bee on December 5th in the WCMS Auditorium!
This year promises to be a thrilling and educational event, providing a platform for our students to showcase their extraordinary vocabulary a
nd spelling skills!
The top 5 spellers will advance to the District Competition, where they will compete for the title of Re3J Spelling Bee Champion against other top spellers from all of our Weld Central Schools! The school competition is a wonderful opportunity for parents to support and cheer for their children as they demonstrate their exceptional language skills!
Statewide and National Opportunities:
The top speller of the District Competition will go on to compete in the Colorado State Spelling Bee, sponsored by the Denver Post, which will take place on Saturday, January 31, 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for your child to represent WCMS at the state level.
The ultimate prize awaits the Colorado State Spelling Bee winner. They will earn an all-expense-paid trip to compete at the 2025 Scripps National Spelling Bee in the Washington D.C. area from May 26th to May 30st, 2025. This is a prestigious event that brings together the most exceptional spellers from across the nation.
We Encourage Parental Participation:
We encourage all parents to attend the School Competition on December 5th in the WCMS auditorium. It is a fantastic way to show your support for your child and witness their hard work pay off. Certificates, prizes, and trophies will be awarded to participants, making this an unforgettable experience.
